BD Winter Nationals
I am currently in the last stages of training getting all the horses ready for their forthcoming trip to the winter nationals. It's always exciting to go the nationals, but it's all change this year as it is the first time the competition is to be held at Hartpury.
We are all excited about next week and will be there from Tuesday getting the horses settled and ready to compete.
I am contesting the Novice Music on Wednesday, Elementary Open on Friday, Medium Music on Saturday and the Medium Open on Sunday.
It's going to be a tough week, but I am raring to go and look forward to representing myself, owners and sponsors to the best of my ability.

Stanhopes Odwig
I have taken over the ride from his owner as she is recovering from a recent operation (get well soon Lucy).
So far we have completed two Prix St Georges classes and we won both of them... he is such a gentleman!

DHI Challenge
Vanita (stable name Vinnie) owned by Barry & Heather Truelove competed in the DHI Challenge held at Addington Manor EC in November.
Vinnie performed well and I was really pleased with him but he did seem to find the atmosphere quite daunting!
He tried to cope as best he could but the tension cost him marks in the first test. The second test was a Freestyle to music and this suited him better as I was able to show him off to his best ability. The test was fantastic and he scored a 9 with some great comments from the judges (including Carl Hester).
He came 6th place overall and we were all really pleased with the result and I am looking forward to a great future with him.
